We finally watched the highly anticipated Kungfu Panda yesterday. I thought Jack Black brought out the essence of the movie about an overweight (and oversized?) panda who is entrusted with the task of becoming the Dragon Warrior to save the village from the bad guy. Po the panda is totally relatable. How many of us have felt at some point of our lives that we’re made for bigger things, yet we are afraid to venture out to seek it? How many of us made excuses for ourselves that we couldn’t possibly achieve our dreams when we haven’t even tried to? The movie certainly struck a chord with me. I especially liked the message that the movie is putting across, that is believing in yourself. There’s no secret formula on why some people are doing better, it’s just that they believed in themselves. In this time and day where everyone is so competitive, it sure serves as a reminder to those of us who are afraid of making that first step, that all we needed is to believe in ourselves.
